Hankel Operator and Singular Values of Dynamical Systems with Single Control Input Delay
The Hankel operator of the system with single control input delay is established by using state-space formulation in this paper. In general, this type of operator is not a compact one. Singular values of this type of operator are studied. Two examples are used to illustrate the computation of Hankel singular value by the theoretical method proposed in this paper.
متن کاملDecay of Hankel singular values of analytic control systems
We show that control systems with an analytic semigroup and control and observation operators that are not too unbounded have a Hankel operator that belongs to the Schatten class Sp for all positive p. This implies that the Hankel singular values converge to zero faster than any polynomial rate. This in turn implies fast convergence of balanced truncations. As a corollary, decay rates for the e...
متن کاملPolynomial Computation of Hankel Singular Values
The paper presents a revised and improved version of a polynomial algorithm published by N. J. Young in 1990 for the Computation of the singular values and vectors of the Hankel operator defined by a linear time-invariant system with rational transfer matrix.
متن کاملCommensurate and Non Commensurate Lines for Group Delay Engineering
An experimental demonstration of a non commensurate group delay line is presented using all-pass C section networks is presented. A quasi-arbitrary group delay response can be obtained by allowing C sections with different length and properly adjusting the number of C sections in the design. The proposed C-section networks are suitable for analog signal processing of broad bandwidth (a few giga...
متن کاملSingular Values of k-Fibonacci and k-Lucas Hankel Matrices
An exact formula was recently obtained for the spectral norms of the Lucas and Fibonacci Hankel matrices [1], and also for the Lucas and Fibonacci Toeplitz matrices [4]. These results put finishing touches on the works initiated in [2] and [3]. On another front, bounds were found for the spectral norms of k-Fibonacci and k-Lucas Toeplitz matrices [7]. In this paper, we present the exact value f...
